For many years it was my big dream to visit one of the Scandinavian countries. Last year my dream came true when I have got from my boyfriend aeroplane tickets do Bergen as a Christmas gift! Bergen is the second biggest city of Norway and at the beginning of April, we spent there three beautiful sunny days (we were really lucky, Bergen is apparently one on the rainiest places in Europe). We arranged accommodation via Airbnb as hotels were really pricey (like rest of the services in Norway 🙂 ) and beside discovering the city we planned one activity for each day.

Několik let jsem si přála navštívit jednu ze severských zemí a v loňském roce se mi konečně tento sen splnil. Dostala jsem od přítele k Vánocům letenky do Bergenu! Bergen je druhé největší město Norska a a na začátku dubna jsme tam strávili tři krásné slunečné dny (na počasí jsme měli vážně štěstí, Bergen prý patří k nejdeštivějším místům v Evropě). Ubytování jsme si zajistili přes airbnb, hotely byly hrozně drahé (jako zbytek služeb v Norsku 🙂 ) a na každý den jsme si mimo procházek po centru naplánovali jednu aktivitu.

Fjord Tour

One month prior departure to Bergen we bought tickets to Fjord Tour on the web visitbergen.com. Price of this tour is 550 NOK (which is approx. 60 Eur), it is a bit expensive but so worth it! Tour lasted around 3 hours and the views were unbelievable! Do not forget to dress warmly, it gets freaking cold outside on the boat 🙂

Fjord Tour jsme si předem rezervovali na stránkách visitbergen.com. Cena vyjížďky je 550 NOK, což je v přepočtu cca 1670 CZK, ale i přes vyšší cenu to za to určitě stojí. Projížďka trvala okolo tří hodin a ty výhledy byly neskutečné! Nezapomeňte se pořádně obléknout, na lodi je strašná zima!

Ulriken

Next day we visited the mountain Ulriken, from the top is the beautiful view of the entire city. You can walk up there or use the cable car. We choose the second option as we had limited time in Bergen. At the top of the mountain, we enjoyed a cup of coffee with an amazing view and then went for a short walk around. Tip: if you wish to walk more wear proper shoes – we had sneakers and it was unexpectedly very slippery on the snow 🙂

Další den je se vypravili na horu Ulriken, odkud je krásný výhled na celý Bergen. Můžete nahoru po svých anebo využít lanovku. My jsme z důvodu omezeného času zvolili druhou variantu. Nahoře jsme si dali kávu s nádherným výhledem a poté jsme se trošku prošli po hřebenu. Tip: pokud se chcete projít více, obujte si pořádné boty – nám to v teniskách po sněhu celkem dost klouzalo, nečekaně 🙂

Mount Fløyen

On the plan of the last day was view from Mount Fløyen where we got again by cable car. At the top, you can find a cafe, souvenir shop and board with directions where to go around. We chose a trail that led to a beautiful lake Skomakerdiket. I liked that there were several seatings and spots where you can do own BBQ around the lake. It must be amazing there in the summertime!

Cílem posledního dne byla vyhlídka z Mount Fløyen, kam jsme se opět vydali lanovkou. Nahoře Vás čeká kavárna, obchod se suvenýry a cedule s trasy možných procházek po okolí. Vybrali jsme si trasu, která vedla ke krásnému jezeru Skomakerdiket. Líbilo se mi, že kolem jezera bylo několik lavic s možností grilování. V létě to tam musí být super!

Rest of the trip we spent by taking long walks around the centre of Bergen and discovering coffee places. On Saturday there was this farmer’s market by the harbour where we ate the best pancakes ever!

Zbývající čas v Bergenu jsme strávili dlouhými procházkami po centru a objevováním kaváren. V sobotu se u přístavu konal farmářský trh, kde jsme jedli nejlepší palačinky!
